HISTORY
FOUR GENERATIONS
The Contreras are a family of grape growers and winemakers in Rociana. In 1883 Gregorio Contreras López was born, he grew his own lands and harvested the grapes for the production and commerce of wine.
THE FIRST WINERY
In 1949, Gregorio´s son, Antonio Contreras Labrador, taking advantage of the increasing wine demand, invested in the purchase of new states and constructed new winemaking facilities.
THE BEGINNING
It was the third generation of the family, Gregorio and Manuel Contreras Ruiz, who merged the inheritance received in winemaking and wine-growing, forging the identity of Ruiz Contreras, based on knowledge, professionalism, and work.
GENERATIONAL RELIEF
Currently, the fourth generation is entering the family winery, with the intention of making Contreras Ruiz a wine reference in the area, respecting the heritage received, innovating, renewing and creating new sensations.
