DOÑANA BIOSPHERE RESERVE

Contreras Ruiz is located in Condado de Huelva.

To the south and east it borders the National Park of Doñana, virgin lands that stand in the way to the Atlantic Ocean.

MEDITERRANEAN CLIMATE

It is situated between 80 to 120 meters above sea level, with a rainfall of 550 l/m2 per year and an average temperature of 16ºC, typical of a Mediterranean climate with oceanic influence.

SOILS OF MARINE ORIGIN

Our soils have a frank texture, causing, in some cases, soils of lime content, typical of the area.

The combination of these characteristics makes Contreras Ruiz´s terroir exceptional for the practice of an agriculture well integrated in the environment.
